When people think of Lisbon, they often picture sunshine and the Tagus River, and SUD Lisboa captures both perfectly. Set in Belém, with breathtaking views of the 25 de Abril Bridge and Cristo Rei, it has become one of the city’s go-to destinations since opening in 2017, turning its location into a full experience..
More than just a restaurant or an event space, SUD Lisboa brings together food, design, and atmosphere in a way that feels natural and considered. This attention to detail, combined with a more international and modern feel, has made it a favourite among both locals and visitors. The space is divided into three distinct areas: SUD Lisboa Terrazza, SUD Pool Lounge, and SUD Lisboa Hall, each with its own personality, but all connected by the same focus on quality and their close relationship with the river.
The Tagus comes with the meal
On the main floor, SUD Lisboa Terrazza is the beating heart of the complex. The space was designed to flow between inside and outside, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open the room onto the Tagus, making the river feel like part of the interior. The oval glass structure above the bar, which shifts in tone throughout the day, has become one of the space’s most recognizable features.
The menu is Mediterranean with a strong Italian influence, adapting easily to different moments, from business lunches to more intimate dinners and sunset cocktails. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Patrick Lefeuvre, whose background includes the Ritz Four Seasons Lisbon and EPIC SANA.
But it goes beyond the food. Live music and curated entertainment give the space its own rhythm, making it as much about atmosphere as it is about what’s on the table.

You come for the view, you stay for the cocktails

Heading up to the SUD Pool Lounge offers a view of Lisbon that few places can match. At the top of the Terrazza, the rooftop opens over the Tagus, with the 25 de Abril Bridge and Cristo Rei in full view. The infinity pool, which seems to blend into the river at certain moments of the day, creates a real sense of escape and adds a lighter, more relaxed contrast to the historic surroundings of Belém.
The space shifts naturally throughout the day. What starts as a calm, sun-filled setting moves into lively sunsets and energetic evenings, with music that enhances the mood without taking over.
Food and drinks follow the same rhythm, with signature cocktails and a Mediterranean-inspired menu designed for different moments. The space also adapts to private and corporate events, offering a setting over the city that’s hard to match.
Big nights need a bigger room
The third space, SUD Lisboa Hall, works on a larger scale but keeps the same attention to detail. It has become a go-to venue in Lisbon for big events, from weddings and birthdays to brand launches and corporate gatherings.
With space for up to 1,500 guests and over 1,600 square meters across two floors, it was designed by architect António Pinto to be flexible and easy to adapt. The team offers a tailored approach, taking care of everything from catering to production and the overall setup, which is why many clients return for their most important occasions.
It’s a space designed for larger moments, but it still feels connected to the same atmosphere that runs through the rest of SUD Lisboa, always with the river close by.
